Bitch Session

2007 hasn't gone too well so far... so I'm bitching about it now...

Cars/Driving
- in February, had a hit and run incident where someone left the entire driver side of the S scratched...
- this week, I got rear-ended driving the S, now it feels like every muscle is aching from the impact...
- On Feb 26, i got my first speeding ticket... I was driving 10 over... when the cop pulled me over... he said 'Ma'am you were going 10 over'... I almost wanted to say I KNOW!! Everyone else drives at 80 in Socal!  Some friends told me since it was end of the month, he might have had quota issues... I finished traffic school this week..

The thing with cars is- I don't even drive the S that often anymore! I usually drive our old Subie but these things only happen when I drive the baby S!!!!!!

Sports and Shows (i know this one is a bit childish...)
- I had two picks in mind- Nuggets (Iverson!) and Suns... Nuggets I knew was a tough sell... but the Suns I thought had pretty good chance! But they had to lose to the dirty Spurs... freaking Horry... I hated him from the Lakers, now I hate him even more! Now I'm left cheering for my third pick- Cavs... but looks like they're going out soon too- I'm not watching anymore!
- American Idol- the two people I didn't want to see win- Sanjaya (for obvious reasons)... and Sparks! One of them had to win... and Melinda was sooo ripped off..
- Superbowl... I was going for the Patriots and Saints... we all know what happened there
- Greys Anatomy- the show just suck big time now

With TV/Sports- it's really my main source of entertainment and time-killer, now I just don't feel like watching anything! Hopefully Federer won't win the French Open (yea I don't like him- he's killing the sport by winning allllllll the time!)

Work
In short, 50/60-hour weeks have become a norm for me... I know I have no one really but myself to blame for it since I'm not willing to let it go and just go home... I can't really enjoy my weekends now because I spend my weekends either working, trying to catch up on house work, or resting from an exhausting work week... I know a lot of people work much longer hours than I do... you bankers and consultants out there, but one of the perks of working in my small company is that no one is expected to work more than 40... I guess what I'm really whining about is I'm exhausted, hopefully this long weekend will help

Good things in Life
Ok... of course there are good things happening too so I won't be ungrateful and not mention them

- Moved into an awesome apartment with attached 2-car garage... never had a garage my whole life, this is pretty interesting and awesome to me!
- Two great friends are moving to LA later this year- I can't wait!
- I'm planning a trip to NYC in Late July/Early Aug! Bau said he wants to see a REAL commitment before he beileves me... apparently I cancel trips a lot... but I'm buying my tickets sooon!
- I think our stocks are doing well... kelvin handles that but I think they are doing good :)
- I'm finally watching HD TV- getting very spoiled by that
